DAY TWENTY ONE - WELCOME TO ARGENTINA

"I love its chaotic ways and it unpredictability, so charming"

These words I may forever choke on! I finally found out what the locals meant when they say to me "but you don't know Argentina". Today I went to collect a parcel (not any old parcel, my b'day present from parents) that had been stuck at customs. Here is a brief run down of the days joyful activities!

2.5 hours travel
2 locations an hour apart
4 offices
12 steps to complete, going back and forth between offices
5 hours waiting in lines
21 forms and receipts to sign and pass on
3 taxes to pay
$300 customs tax
$400 Airport tax
$300 holding tax
$100 buses

Total spent $1100.00 pesos

I rang an Argentine in disbelief  and their response was just "WELCOME TO MY COUNTRY"

On the bus ride home, starving, and busting to pee I opened my $1100ARD box of anticipation....

Talk about turning a frown upside down in an instant! In the next moment I had Almond Gold chocolate smeared all over my face and tears of joy streaming down my face as I read a handwritten birthday card from my mum! money shmoney... this lil puppy was worth every cent!
