DAY TWENTY - MY FIRST DAY OF WORK

One weeks work - teaching English.
Note to self: I have a Kiwi accent and apparently it is incredibly hard to understand so I must remember to open my mouth wide and speak slowly…Today was my first day of relieve teaching English for a week “Now go in and teach” - eeeek shiver me timbers!

How exactly do you go about teaching a class with no prior knowledge or prep? I have to now teach for six hours whilst simultaneously mastering the art of teaching conversation. Peace of piss right?

Piss… not a bad thought, perhaps I should have liquored up for this one? - I could have rambled my wee heart out then, not sure it would make sense, but I would be some what entertaining! But… lucky I choose the path of sobriety as otherwise I would have most likely ended the session asking some very inappropriate questions, dancing Cumbia on the table top and/or falling asleep before my 6 hours of teaching was up! it would've been one hell of an afternoon but with no job prospects for the future!

First day done and dusted... now quick google “how to teach conversation in English”

Money I withdrew when I began this blog
 $700 ARD = $244.85 NZD
I still have $358 ARD left of that and it is burning a hole in my pocket ( I want to buy, spend, consume! Surely I deserve a b’day present to self?)
Left in my bank $755 NZD

Not leaving!

ARD $2.20 subway
