DAY ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHT - TWO KIWIS

After 8 months away, I have spent the last 4 months here without a native English speaker anywhere in sight. Here in little old Rafaela, in my giant adopted Argentine family's home. As much as I have wished  (crossed my fingers, knocked on wood and whispered to the universe) I never thought my old world and my new world would ever get the opportunity to get in a mix up and that my time here would forever remain a myth! Until the Muzgrovanator (Sophie Muzgrove) took a detour back from Colombia to come to Rafaela, she must be the only tourist in history to say:

"I went to the Iguazu falls, to historical Salta, scenic Patagonia, wine country Mendoza and RAFAELA!"

How awesome it's been to talk stupidly fast - that all my words become one, to reference old television commercials, slang up a whole conversations with non-sense rhymes, reminisce about NZ, brunches, fish n' chips, 527 New North Rd (our old playing ground) and the "good old times". I heart you Muzgrove...

DAY ONE HUNDRED AND FIVE - LIPSTICK IN A BOTTLE

ARGENTINE EXPERIENCE TOP 10:

NO 9 RED WINE (MALBEC)

Nothing satisfies the soul more than a juicy Argentine steak, and now let me introduce you to its soul mate, its ultimate partner in crime, it is the ever so faithful and forever warming, tasty and delicious Argentine speciality The Malbec. Red wine lipstick on my pillow... evidence of a scandalis affair with this hearty beast of a wine!... Because of how tasty this wine is, I can almost imagine an entire country waking morning after morning with crimson lips and maroon teeth (the addiction can become that bad, how do these people ever stop when it tastes that good and is the ultimate accompaniment to their favourable and famous Argentine Steak!)

"Don't stop me now, I am having such a good time! I'm having a ball"
