DAY 181 - DALE, LISTO CHAU

Argentinianisms is what I would like to call them...

1. Add "Boluda" (big balls) to the end of any sentence or greeting of a mate.
2. When hanging up the phone, repeat "Dale, Listo" (ok, ready) Chau!
3. "Escuchame" (Listen to me) translates in English to be quite rude, but "pay attention to me damn it"!
4. Forth and final for me that is VERY Argentinian, that even one of Argentina's most influential political figures was nicknamed after it because he said it all the time! Actually in some parts of the world they may not even know his real name is Ernesto! Heck and there may be a lot of confusion about this individuals name as he has faked his identity, and some people even think that he is Cuban, because of his active role in the revolution. If you haven't already guessed the word is CHE (Like "bro" in English), and the Argentine Marxist revolutionary, doctor, guerrilla leader, diplomat, author and military theorist is Che Guevara!

And I went to his house...

This toilet is part of the museum. DO NOT USE!

DAY 179 - SWEET 16... NO, SCREW THAT 15!!!

Its like your own little "wedding" to yourself, a frilly yet sexy white dress, and a massive welcoming party full of traditions! Girls in Argentina celebrate their coming of age at 15 years old, in NZ we have a drunken party at the ripe old age of 21 (Late developers eh!) and its for girls and boys! Oh AND let me mention to you that the Argentine party is not the (soon to be) 15 year olds only option... Second option DISNEY! and for some retarded folk, they offer their children the Third option 'the gift of FAKE BOOBS!!!!' Not a word on a lie.

Last night I went to my very first 15th party, but in this instance it was only a family affair because she is off to Disney! But in regards to "having a good time with family" there is no problem there! These Molfinos sure no how to party, and there are plenty of them - this family is gigantic! The night ended with a dance circle after much consumption of both food and wine! And today she had her very own photo shoot to remember this memorable mark in her life! Feliz cumple!!
