DAY NINETY SIX - TANGO TANTALIZER

TANGO - What else can I say, which can't be said in listening to this song alone. This evening was so breath takingly stunning, at one moment I remember turning around to see my whole table of ten from oldies to youngens singing alone to one of her hypnotising melodies. Tango.. how you suduce me. This night reminded me of many an evening sitting in Buenos Aires, tango playing, watching the smooth poised tango dancers effortlessly floating across the dance room floor as I sipped on wine, my soul floating away with their steps...

DAY NINETY FIVE - MAY DAY MAY DAY

MAY 25TH - In celebration of the first Patriotic Government in Argentina but better know to my fellow fattys as the day of Locro and red wine! To be honest on first appearances, it is not the best looking dish I have ever seen - aesthetically unsound. Bits of miscellaneous meat chunks - I am talking the gobbly goobly jelly bits and stomach with weird bumpy textures - in a gooey snot like substance. It is like a roller coaster of textures swirling about in your mouth 

Hey it is not all bad, the taste is rich, hearty and warms the soul - a perfect winter cuisine to ignite the fire within! Might I add also that it is of absolute necessity that Locro is to be washed down into your stomach with a deep, deep, dark red, perhaps the infamously orgasmic Argentine Malbec! So if you can brave your initial prejudices against ugly food, it ain't so bad.. well I think it is rather good. And lets be honest who doesn't love any traditional that involves a food and wine combo! 

DAY NINETY FOUR - MY COMPUTER HAD A WEE DEATH!

DAY NINETY THREE - SMASH OUT THE BUS WINDOW

"The players are coming! Quick grab your Athletico apparel, your fernet, your flags and lets hit the road!!"

We drove at a fierce speed past thousands of people scattered - like a blue and white disease - along the side of the long road entering into the city.

The Champions of the World are coming!

With such excitement  the players smashed out the front and side windows of their travel bus and hung out, flags flying in the wind!

On arrival of the team, back from their win in Tucumán, players and fanatics rallied in cars - horns a beeping and fireworks a blasting - to the stadium for the much anticipated victory celebration!

    "AND WE'LL KEEP ON FIGHTING TILL THE END!"

DAY NINETY TWO - MOVING ON UP!

It is not over until the fat lady sings and it has only just began when you see the fat guy dancing in the middle of a fan crazed small town city!

Wahoooo Rafaela are the champions of the B grade football which means not only a whole city - instantly post victory -  flees to the centre of the city to hug, cry and celebrate as if life had just began! (With victory laps of the city been taken by all - flags in hand, exploding fireworks, and people jumping around like apes on Ecstasy) BUT more importantly that Rafaela has scored themselves a place in the BIG KID "A GRADE" FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP! A small city of 100,000 people is now going to be playing against the likes of the internationally famous and megastar awesome BOCA JUNIORS and RIVER PLATE!!! SOY CELESTE!
