DAY 195 - WHAT'S NEXT THEN.... EYES FORWARD

Never ones to shy away from eye contact, lingering so long you feel them having a rummage around in your soul! So engaging, it makes your heart pulpatate. My friend Zoe and I on first experience with the Argentines would like to call their mystique "Sex Eyes". Don't think you can walk down a busy street in Buenos Aires and avert the piercing gaze! Feeling a little low in confidence I suggest you take to the Argentine streets, you ego will explode but don't expect your inflated head to fit through any doorways! In NZ Im now just the creep staring!

DAY 194 - SI, GRACIAS AND QUE?

"Si, si, bueno, bueno". I am currently dealing with the lingering side effects of "SouthAmericanism".
I am now that weirdo sipping from my drug-paraphernalia looking mate, eating squished up peanut butter bars  of mantecol and going around trying to get all my friends to enjoy the wondrous pleasures of my hearts desires "FERNET" only to be constantly looking at faces of disgust and regret as they hesitantly sip from my cup and give it back to me as fast as they humanly can! I mean I am not so sad that I have to drink Fernet all to myself but I am also the dork that accidentally gets caught throwing out a "que?' when I mishear something or "si" when I am in agreeance. I am an Argentine reject misunderstood in NZ.

DAY 193 - WE ARE ONLY ONE GIANT OCEAN APART! 14 HOUR FLIGHT!

Its a little strange being back and being asked
"How was your trip, what did you do over there?"
Hmmm how was one of the greatest YEARS of my life, how can I condense it down into one repeatable little sentence or catch phrase?! Ummm it was epic... I am either one way or the other, when people ask me I don't know where to start, so I quickly change the subject cheekily or chuck out an "awesome".
But then we will be talking about something totally non related and it will spark a memory and you can't get me to shut up about Argentina - I will start harping on about this, that and the other Molfino!

DAY 192 - FLICK IT ABOUT

Damn it Janet, blogger won't let me post images! So let me give you a brief run down of the events in mind... In NZ news there was a horse, a rifle, some kids dress up costumes and a house at the beach.

EXHIBIT A:

And in Argentine reflections I was going to talk about hair flicking sexualised woman with long long LONG dark locks! No crew cuts, stylish bobs or Rachel from friends short hair do's. No its hair, here everywhere!

EXHIBIT B:

But instead you have to settle for a recap of my prior blogs - in other words spend this time to reflect on the 191 days worth of blogs and wait in anticipation for tomorrow's blog on horses, hair and lunatics!

Te extraño Argentina but this fresh salt water air is pretty damn good! And heres the pics to prove it!

DAY 191 - I WOKE FOR YOU

ARGENTINE EXPERIENCE TOP 10:  NO 10 EMPANADAS

Many a time in the tinsel littered streets of Buenos Aires have I arrived home around 4am jumped into bed tossed n turned for a bit and then rolled over to my old mate and casually suggested “Emapanadas?”

Not  a word of a lie, we have woken up chucked on the closest ensemble of clothes within reach and  hooned around in a taxi in search of anywhere open selling the highly desired pastry paradise! Warm and crispy meaty, cheesey goodness. Meat mixed with olives, onion, egg and the what not, there’s chicken, corn and ham n cheese just to name a few. Half the size of a drunken NZ mince pie yet 10x as tasty.

I tell you NZ we have a fantastic business venture right there!

DAY 190 - ONE YEAR BABY!!!

One freaky deaky year! I made it in this Latino hip shaking sexual eyed continent but sadly/happily today I touched down back in Auckland New Zealand! I woke in the middle of night to hug my warm delish beast of a human (aka my boyfriend) to find it was instead my ultimate partner in crime (dance with a poll) Zoedowg, the magical lady I first discovered Argentina with... This morning we are sipping coffee and cranking all Argentine beats, reminiscing about the most amazing country in the world! It seems as if as if it was all a dream, a dream in my heart forever!

It's a dream I will rediscover over and over for the rest of my life! But I still have so much to talk about, so I may be back in my homeland but keep your fingers in this pie because I am not finished yet with $1000 Argentina! Oh my wee weepy heart misses my Argentine family! My Pezfaced boyfriend, Magnificant Mario, Papapapachu, Maxi Pancho, Panchita Vicca, Martu, Putitaaaa "my boyfriend rides a horse", The Mozambique Clan (Emmmmmmilo), Tommy "singalot" and my lovely souled Santy, Kooki and Tinooooooo!!!! The Molfinos!
