DAY SIXTEEN - KICK Z BALL LIKE I TOLDZ HUGH

ARGENTINE EXPERIENCE TOP 10: NO 3
Futbol, football, soccer

We may be the only team to have not lost a game at the world cup but the high caliber of these athletic wizzkids playing in 2nd division has blown my brains!

This football technical mastery was amplified by flying streamers, the rumbling roar of thumping drums, stomping feet, clapping hands and chants that last the entire game - from the moment the players ran on to the field until to the moment they left as champions (yes our team won on home turf!!! pretty sure I'm their good luck charm)

God only knows what the words of their chants were, but they will surely haunt my dreams tonight and tomorrow I predict I rise still singing my wee heart out... from the shower to the dinner table!

"spanish spanish rarara, vamos vamos rararrara, rarrararara spanish"

DAY FIFTEEN - POSTAGE

After a week of stuffing myself silly at the Molfino household in Santa Fe, I received an email today... I HAVE A WEEKS WORK!
So on Sunday I say goodbye to the comforts of a fully stocked fridge, a freshly made bed and the aromas of cleanly machine washed clothes.
Then after a 5 hour bus ride I am  back to the the trials and tribulations of my former porpers life of hand washing my own clothes in a cold shower, eating out of a box of porridge and trying to find a couch in the big bad city!

Today a postcard I assumed got lost in the mail (wink - more likely I wrote the wrong address) finally arrived in the Molfino letterbox... only two and a half months after I sent it from my travels in Mexico!

Ahhh the postal system in Argentina!
An upside to going back to being broke in the city is I can pick up my parcel mum sent from NZ. It travelled half way around the world to get to Argentina in the opposite direction and then when it finally arrived it is stuck at the airport waiting for me to pay $120USD in taxes.... The price I have to pay here to eat its highly anticipated velvety creamy tasty NZ contents, 2 slabs of...
WHITTAKERS ALMOND GOLD!

DAY FOURTEEN - MY HEART GOES OUT TO YOU CHRISTCHURCH

DAY THIRTEEN - THE PETROL STATION

Hung over after an epic night with the Molfino clan at Pedros wedding! danced myself stupid and ate myself silly... and today I pick the splinters of glass out of my feet - after my barefoot dancathon!

Stumbling shady eyed around Rafaela (Santa Fe) with Juan looking for a refreshing beverage to cleanse my palate and kick some life back into me, when I discovered the weird and wacky Argentine Petrol station... fully equipped with dining tables, a cafe, beer, wine and champagne! Choose what you want, break out the plastic cups and tuck in!

Have a fag outside in a deck chair, stub it out and then jump in your car freshly pumped with gas...
Best advised not to participate in a Zoolander rainbow shower of petrol whilst smoking!
